It was another banner year for Country Queen, Taylor Swift. The Speak Now tour took Taylor around the world, including Japan, Singapore and of course, all over the United States.
Taylor surprised many US audiences, asking some of her pals to come out and perform 1 song of each set. Some audiences were shocked to see Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kenny Chesney and even James Taylor at one point. Taylor pulled in a cool $35.7 million for the 2011 year with combined songwriting royalties, an $88.5 million-grossing Speak Now world tour.
Following in second place, Bono and the boys of U2 collected $32.1 million and third place went to Taylor’s pal and mentor, Kenny Chesney, who returned after a year off pulling in $29.8 for his efforts.
Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Sade, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Jason Aldean, and Adele finished out the Top 10.
