With all of the rumors flying around about Pirates of the Caribbean 4, who knows what to believe! At first, we heard Zac Efron. Then, Russel Brand. And now, everybody’s favorite vampire, Robert Pattinson, could be joining the cast!
Although POTC 4 is still in the pre-production phase, rumors have been swirling since the end of “At Worlds End”. Johnny Depp, Geoffry Rush and Gore Verbinski have all expressed their interest in being involved in a fourth film.
True fans could be disappointed by the fact that Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom will not be returning, but this film is set to focus mainly on Jack Sparrow (Depp). While the plot is still in the works, It has been long rumored that the latest addition to the Sparrow family will be a little brother! Comedian Russell Brand looked like the forerunner for the part, but after his run-in with Disney owned-and-operated Jonas Brothers, those rumors quickly fell through.
Apparently Disney is looking at a 2011 start date! Ooh la la! I can’t wait!

I agree with Lis, because Disney nowadays is just going town the toilet for me. It used to be about princesses and Neverland and family and magic. Now it’s all about business these days; they just want to make money out of young actors.
However, Pirates is a more respectable and unique film. It’s not as though it’s another Hannah Montana or High School Musical movie. I think it would be a bit weird to see Robert Pattinson in a Pirates movie. Although I’m much too curious. I’d love to see Pattinson and Depp act together. For some reason I think they would get along quite well. I’m hoping that if these rumors are true, the collaboration will be magnificent!
