Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, recently spoke to People, saying that when he first heard Rihanna had been attacked, “I didn’t believe it. I know my daughter,” said Fenty, 55.
About Brown, he said, “You think you know somebody, but you really don’t.”
Fenty, who saw his daughter on Thursday in Barbados, he shared, “There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so. At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world.”
When asked what Rihanna should do about her relationship with Brown, he simply said, “If it were me, I’d move on.”
Fenty said that Chris and Rihanna used to have a good relationship. “They seemed pretty happy,” he recalls. “I don’t know what went wrong.”
