Grammy winner Rihanna, 30, is set to perform at the Recording Industry Association of America’s Presidential Inauguration Charity Ball, which will take place on January 20.
The singer will hit Washington D.C. to help raise money for Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization.
“We could not be happier that Rihanna will be performing at the Inauguration charity ball to benefit Feeding America,” says president and CEO of Feeding America, Vicki Escarra.
“Rihanna’s involvement will help raise awareness about the prevalence of hunger in America and help bring more aid to the 36 million Americans who do not always know where they will find their next meal.”
A lot of big names will be in town to celebrate Obama’s inauguration and will be entertained by performers such as Aretha Franklin, the San Francisco Boys Chorus and the San Francisco Girls Chorus, Yo-Yo Ma, and poet Elizabeth Alexander.
The inauguration is set to draw record crowds estimated at 2-4 million.
