President Obama was humbled today as he called the Mid-Term elections a “shellacking.”

“This is something that I think every president needs to go through, because you know, the responsibilities of this office are so enormous and so many people are depending on what we do … in the rush of activity, sometimes we lose track of… the ways that we connected with folks that got us here in the first place,” Obama said.

Obama also explained the Democratic loss as resulting from frustration with the bad economy, and his own failure to explain to voters how his projects will create jobs. “There is a inherent danger in being in the White House and being in the bubble.”
