Paris Hilton’s Cocaine Arrest Is A Felony
TMZ was first to report that the .8 grams of cocaine found in Paris Hilton’s possession on Friday evening is indeed a greater charge than any of her previous possession arrests.
Police reports indicate that Hilton was attempting to roll up her window when marijuana smoke drifted from the Escalade after being stopped on the Las Vegas Strip. The officer involved in the incident noted “the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle” and identified Hilton immediately. Approximately 100 people gathered on the scene and Hilton quickly asked to use a restroom…when the officer handed her purse, per the official report, “I saw a small [bundle] of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggie begin to fall from the purse and into my hand.” The officer also found “a broken tablet of Albuterol” and rolling papers in Hilton’s possession at the time of her arrest.
When the officer questioned Hilton about the cocaine, she claimed that “she had not seen it, but now thought it was gum.” Gum? Since when does gum come in a mouth numbing powder?
Hilton claimed some makeup was her friend’s (who’d loaned her the cocaine carrying purse) but the $1300 dollars in cash and various credit cards were hers.
And, an interesting sidenote, just hours before her arrest, Hilton was in a Las Vegas salon getting the works, in preparation for what would later be her mug shot.
