Apparently, some aspiring actors were recently turned away from the open casting call for the upcoming vampire drama, New Moon. The fans who were sent away were reportedly dismissed due to the overwhelming response of people wanting to be a part of the film.

The casting called had asked for “young first nations/aboriginal actors and actresses between the ages of 15 and 25”
“This is more than we expected,” admitted Bim Narine, a casting assistant at Vancouver’s Aikins/ Cossey agency. “It’s definitely a good turnout.”

Hopefuls started lining up as early as 5 o’clock yesterday morning for the audition, which was only due to last from 9 AM to 12 PM.

22-year-old Roasanna Razor, who didn’t even get the chance to audition, shared her sentiments. “It sucks,” stated Razor. “I was here since 9 a.m. I came up from Seattle. This is a proud moment for me. Native people don’t always get opportunities like this and I thought it would be really cool to be a part of it.”

If you did get the chance to audition, Good Luck! If not, remember, there will probably be 2 more movies!
