Natalee Holloway’s remains may have been possibly found. The 18 year old, college bound, blonde haired, and popular Mountain Brook, Alabama student went missing on May 30, 2005. Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba has earned international media attention yet led Aruban investigators and even the FBI on a cold trail until February 2010. A photograph from James and Pattie Muldowny taken in October 2009 while on a snorkeling getaway near the location where Holloway’s body went missing has surfaced and perhaps warmed the trail of the investigation.
The last person to have seen Holloway alive was the troubled Dutch teen Joran van der Sloot. Van der sloot insists that he did not kill or harm Holloway but is the primary suspect in her disappearance. Van der Sloot told Fox News that he “sold [Holloway] to a Venezuelan man who ‘wanted a blonde girl’ ” and that the Venezuelan paid him $10,000 dollars for Holloway. Van der Sloot then said he watched “Natalee, who was drunk, being hauled on board a vessel chartered by the Venezuelan. There was no struggle or anything.”
