Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Split Confirmed
The Last Song stars who have been dating for a year have hit the last note in their relationship. Liam Hemsworth’s representative confirmed to PEOPLE on August 25, 2010 that Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have parted ways.
Rumors have swirled all summer that the pair were on their way to a break up, despite Cyrus’ declaration via her personal website that the pair are “so happy.” Cyrus also dished in April 2010 to PEOPLE that Hemsworth “was the first person that made me want to be in a real relationship.” That’s a pretty strong sentiment for a sixteen year old dating a 20 year old Australian actor and model.
The split has been amicable and mutual but details of who did the dumping have not yet been leaked…perhaps the relationship couldn’t weather the workload and distances between the two.
