Michael Vick of the Eagles is in more trouble because of a shooting at his birthday party at 2:00 a.m. on June 25, 2010. The Philadelphia Eagles and authorities are looking into an “incident” which left one man shot at player Michael Vick’s birthday bash. The party charged attendees $50 to enter “Michael Vick’s All White Birthday Bash” held at Guadalajara, a Virginia Beach night club.
Vick’s legal representative, Larry Woodward, issued a statement to the AP that indicated Vick was not at the Virginia location at the time of the shooting.
The Eagles also issued a statement which said: “We are aware of the incident that occurred in Virginia early this morning and are in the process of gathering all the facts. Until then, we will not have any comment on this matter.”
A local radio station and other reports claim that the man shot was Quanis Phillips, co-defendant in the dog fighting case which secured Vick on the Forbes’ Most Hated Sports Players list. In 2007, Vick was sentenced to three years’ probation and a three year suspended sentence for a state dogfighting conviction.
