The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced plans Friday to file charges against Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray administered pain killers and sedatives to Michael Jackson, the King Of Pop, which contributed to his death.
Murray has evaded the law since Jackson’s passing June 25, 2009. Murray is a cardiologist from Texas who could potentially be sentenced to a two to four year prision term which would cause a temporary or permanent loss of his medical license.
In light of developments in the case against Murray, the public eye has turned to other celebrity deaths. Micheal Jackson, Heath Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith, perhaps Brittany Murphy’s passing all raise concern that “big money can effect and perhaps corrupt the doctor-patient relationship.”
