Lucy Hale
Privileged starlet Lucy Hale recently revealed to Twist magazine that Dakota Fanning wasn’t the only person interested in playing Jane in the upcoming, New Moon.
The 19-year-old actress shared, “Well, I did read [for the role of Jane]. We had some talks about it. But I think they just offered it to Dakota Fanning, the role I was interested in. Which is great – I’m a huge fan of her! So, I think she’ll probably take that. And I mean, as of right now, I’m not sure if it’s going to work out. But I’m definitely still going to see it!”
Lucy did say that she would be open to taking another role in the film. “I’d take any role! Leah Clearwater, but I think there’s already talks with somebody else. I think they’ve already offered it to someone. I mean, we’ll see. If not, it’s all good.’ Vanessa Hudgens? ‘Right, Right, right! Yeah, I wasn’t sure if that was true or not, but she’d be great for it!”
Hopefully they called her first. What a crappy way to find out you didn’t get the part!! Who do you think would have played a better Jane?

No kidding. Lucy Hale is definitely hotter, but also fits the role for Jane.
I’m a fan of both Lucy Hale and Vanessa Hudgens, but I would have to say that Lucy Hale fits in with the New Moon. I actually expected to see Lucy Hale star in one of the Twilight movies, because she fits the characters.
