Khloe Kardashian owes IRS $18 K. Per reports from TMZ, Lamar Odom’s wife was slapped with a $18,490 tax lien filed by the State of California on July 30, 2010. The lien stems from her days as a single woman in 2007 when, despite the success of E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s and dabbling in clothing and perfume businesses, Kardashian failed to pay her income taxes in 2007. Kardashian is now facing hefty fines and interest. Perhaps Khloe’s Los Angeles Lakers basketball playing husband will bail her out of the IRS nightmare.
Representatives from Kardashian’s camp have not confirmed the claims though she’s not the first, nor is she the last celebrity to face tax troubles. If there’s any truth to the claims, lets hope the couple settle the lien before their baby arrives late this fall. Though the couple have yet to confirm the pregnancy rumors, Kardashian has been sporting a round midsection and dodging pregnancy gossip since June, including weird food cravings and a certain glow only pregnant women radiate.
Here’s hoping Uncle Sam doesn’t claim Kardashian’s first born in lieu of payment for back taxes. Omar has already fathered two children from a previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales. Odom has one surviving child, named Destiny, from his relationship eith Morales. The former couple tragically lost son Jayden who passed away due to SIDS in New York on June 29, 2006. Jayden was six and a half months old at the time of his death.
