Gym Class Heroes frontman and Katy Perry’s boyfriend Travis McCoy does not approve of the Grammys Best New Artist nominees. He told PopEater: ‘I think….the Best New Artist thing was definitely a fluke and a f— up on the Grammys’ behalf. We got the Jonas Brothers being nominated for Best New Artist and they’re on their third record.
So I’m like, ‘How the f— does that even make sense? No disrespect to them [JB], but it’s like if you’re gonna give a Grammy to a Best New Artist, why don’t you nominate new artists?’ Travis’ girlfriend is Katy Perry was not nominated.
While I agree that the Grammys nominate random artists and albums all the time, maybe you should voice your opinion Travis when your girlfriend isn’t passed over.
