Kaley Cuoco, co-star of The Big Bang Theory, sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to explain her horseback riding accident that landed her in the hospital for 2 weeks.

“I looked and I’m like: ‘Wow, my foot is facing me,’” Cuoco told the audience at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “And I was like: ‘That’s not normal!’”

Cuoco, who rides horses a lot fell off her horse and then the horse stepped on her leg, crushing it. She had two surgeries while she was in the hospital and doctors did tell her that if the initla infection was too serious, she could have lost her foot. She went onto say that she was written out of two episodes of the CBS comedy but that they are not writing her accident into her role as “Penny.”
