Jessica Alba: Photoshopped?

by chelsea on December 8, 2008

Everyone saw Jessica Alba’s latest photo shoot for Campari. Not only did everyone see it, everyone thought she looked amazing! For just having a baby, Jess was certainly a motivator to many women! But after seeing these recent photos, it is OBVIOUS that they used Photo Shop to make her appear smaller!

My question for all of you is, did she really need it? Do you think that Jessica looked so bad before that she needed a little taken off?

No, she didn’t NEED to be photoshopped. The people that fix up these images for production are artists, whether they be the photographers or designated photo retouchers. The final image is a woman in the artist’s image which has nothing to do with the artist’s desires for how a woman ought to look.

Women should not look to outlets for their goals in body figure as these are not natural figures. They should focus on being healthy.

“There is no photographic establishment of any note that does not employ artists at high salaries—we understand not less than £1 a day—in touching, and colouring, and finishing from nature those portraits for which the camera may be said to have laid the foundation.” (Lady Elizabeth Eastlake, 1857)
