She became a household name with her performance in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and today 89-year old actress, Jane Russell passed away. Russell, who stared in Blondes alongside Marilyn Monroe, was widely known for her full-figure. During the 1970s, Russell became the official spokesperson for Playtex bras, appearing in national TV commercials for the “Cross Your Heart” bra campaign.

Russell was married to Los Angeles Rams football star Bob Waterfield from 1943 until 1968. Her second marriage to Roger Barrett, lasted only 3 months, after Barrett suddenly died.

Russell lived out her final years at her home in Santa Monica and was actively involved in several charities. Rest in Peace Jane.
