Thirteen star Evan Rachel Wood has been cast as MJ Watson in the musical version of Spider-man on Broadway.
Evan also mentioned that the powers that be are “still trying to convince” Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe heart-throb) to take the role of Peter Parker.
Spider-Man: The Musical will be directed by Julie Taymor with Bono and The Edge of U2 providing the music and lyrics. Rehearsals start in June 2009 and will hit the Broadway stage by mid-2010.
Apparently anything can be made into a Musical now! I can’t wait for Twilight: The Musical!
