Elephant Project Has Celebrity Support
A slew of celebrities have stepped out to raise funds for The Elephant Project, a charitable organization founded to support and educate people regarding Alzheimer’s awareness. The charity focuses on awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association as well as funding for research, care, and treatment.
Chris Pine, Summer Glau, Gerard Butler, Jennifer Garner, Lady Gaga, Brandon Flowers, Ashley Tisdale, Tina Fey, Elisabeth Moss, Andy Samberg, Alex O’Loughlin, and Jason Sudeikis and many other celebrities have posed with the special edition Ty Beanie baby elephant to have their pics auctioned off to raise money for the charity. Purchasers receive an autographed 8 X 10 glossy, a card, the Beanie (because “an elephant never forgets”), and bragging rights for supporting a great cause.
The Summer 2010 Elephant Project auctions have raised over $21,000 dollars for the charity. Actions are on e-bay.com until Sunday, August 15, 2010.
