Modern Family patriarch, Ed O’Neill doesn’t think Jane Lynch deserved her Glee Emmy win.

O’Neill, who was the only member of the ensemble Modern Family cast not nominated for an Emmy, told TV Guide magazine, “I love Jane, honestly I do. I’m dying to star in one of Christopher Guest’s movies alongside her, but I don’t think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part. (Sue Sylvester) is just a one-note character.”

O’Neill goes onto say in the interview that he felt the win should have been taken by his on-screen wife, Gloria, portrayed by Sofia Vergara. “Sofia is just so, so funny,” O’Neill said. “I don’t think people realize how hilarious she is. She’s so sharp with her wit, it’s amazing.”

What do you think? Is Jane Lynch’s portrayal of Sue Sylvester worth an Emmy?
