Charlie Sheen heads to jail. Seems the Two and A Half Men star is going to spend 30 days in the slammer for a domestic incident involving his wife Brooke Mueller. An Aspen, Colorado court sentenced Sheen on Monday, June 31, 2010 for misdemeanor assault charges. Sheen accepted a plea deal and will begin his term immediately. Speculation abounds that Sheen could get out of jail early for good behavior.
The jail term stems from a domestic incident which occurred on Dec. 25, 2009. Sheen was arrested after pushing a drunken Mueller at a friend’s Aspen, Colorado residence. Mueller called 911 8:34 a.m. and authorities arrived with an ambulance. At the time of the incident, Mueller was legally intoxicated. Sheen was handcuffed and held in an Aspen jail until an $8500 bond was posted. The couple attended various rehabilitation centers to treat drug and alcohol addictions and separated shortly after the Christmas Day drama.
The pair recently confirmed that they no longer share a residence but are working smooth over the rough spots of their marriage for the sake of their 13 month old twin boys Bob and Max.
