In the wake of the engagement rumors, Hilary Duff was spotted wearing a huge engagement ring. Hockey player Mike Comrie popped the question while vacationing in Maui, Hawaii with the Disney star. Duff was snapped by photographers, while still in Hawaii, wearing the diamond, and confirmed pending wedding rumors.
Earlier reports claimed that Duff’s mom didn’t know Duff and Comrie were engaged. They say a picture is worth a thousand words…here’s the proof!

Hilary Duff, the former Disney princess turned fashionista announced her engagement to Edmonton Oilers hockey player Mike Comrie while on vacation in Maui, Hawaii, this week. Duff and Comrie have been romantically involved over two years. This is the second time Duff has been engaged to a hockey player.

As for the wedding date, it has yet to be announced. Seems Duff’s mom went on record this week to deny engagement rumors. Maybe the couple haven’t told her their good news yet.

When former Disney starlet Hilary Duff was asked if she felt bad for the teen stars that have to deal with crazy paparazzi, she simply replied. “Hmmm… no, because I have to deal with it everyday too.” Duff went on to say, “I mean I think that they’re talented, you know, and it probably is a little harder for them now, you know, because there is so much paparazzi and it wasn’t like that so much a few years ago.”

Hilary also shared that she is working towards a new album. “I don’t really have a date or a deadline. I’m starting to work with a few producers, and writing and just figuring out a new… what new sound or what’s inspiring me… I don’t have deadlines. Or I don’t have anyone telling me what to do anymore.”

As the Oscars came to a close, the Post-Oscar parties were just getting started! Hilary Duff was seen making the party-rounds at the 1st Annual “Party With a Purpose,” as well as the “Night to Make a Difference” at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, California.

Hilary Duff Commends Leeza Gibbons on Oscar Charity Night

Former Disney starlet Hilary Duff sat down and took a second to share her excitement of a benefit Leeza Gibbons is organizing on Oscar Night. Duff mentions how it is a great opportunity for young people to help make a difference in the world.

The event will benefit Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and Olivia Newton-John’s Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal. The event will also allow vewiers to get involved with charities and to help change circumstances of the people around them!

Apparently, former Disney starlet Hilary Duff is dying to join the cast of the upcoming film, New Moon. Hilary was seen chatting with Vampire-Dad Peter Facinelli backstage at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! A source told Hollyscoop exclusively, “Hilary told Peter how bad she wants to be in the next Twilight movie. Hilary said that she would want to be one of the vampires in the movie.”

Poor Peter Facinelli. He had to have an entire conversation with Hilary Duff! What do you think of Hilary joining up in New Moon? Who could she even play?

Hilary Duff fires back at Faye Dunaway

Bonnie and Clyde star Faye Dunaway has publicly and rudely criticized director Tonya Holly for casting teen queen Hilary Duff as Bonnie Parker in the remake of the classic film. After Faye remarked “Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”, Hilary has decided to publicly respond.

Duff told E!’s Michael Yo: ‘I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know.. I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.‘

Faye Dunaway slams Hilary Duff

Classic Hollywood stars Faye Dunaway and the ever handsome Warren Beatty are less than thrilled that director Tonya S. Holly will be directing a remake of their classic film, Bonnie and Clyde. Both of the actors asked “Why?” when they heard the news that “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde” was in the works.

Faye Dunaway was especially saddened by the choice to cast former Disney starlet Hilary Duff as the leading role. ”Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?” the award-winner said.

The Story Of Bonnie & Clyde is set to be released in 2010.

Do you think Faye’s words were a little too harsh? Shouldn’t Hilary be given a chance to impress??
